Together with TTG Incontri, takes place TTI, the most important workshop for promoting Italian tourism throughout the world, this year doubling the number of international trade buyers, tour operators and travel agencies interested in purchasing and programming Italy. A not only quantitative but also qualitative increase, in order to involve new market segments, and therefore new buyers and new categories. The demand will be able to intercept a highly qualified supply, mainly embodied by Regions, Institutions and accommodation facilities and will be able to properly organise its participation in the fair, thanks to the tested Appointments’ system. All these elements sanction TTI as the only workshop where to buy and sell Italy.
It is confirmed by the figures of the 46th edition of the tourism marketplace in Italy. TTG Incontri calls, the market answers: 35,352 attendances, and a 2% growth compared to the previous year are the closing numbers of the 46th edition of TTG Incontri, the major business to business tourism exhibition, and of the 9th edition of TTI, the main workshop marketing the Italian tourism product in the world. A significant increase in the foreign attendance was registered, with over 6,000 operators and a 37% growth compared to 2008: a figure confirming the international appeal of this event and its acknowledged role as main access to the Italian market by foreign tourism businesses. The event, organised by TTG Italia, member company of the Rimini Fiera Group, saw the participation of exhibitors from all over the world, with important confirmations and new entries such as Abu Dhabi, Finland, Serbia and Uzbekistan. TTI, the workshop marketing the Italian product in the world, hosted 607 international buyers coming from 59 Countries. Over 14,500 appointments between tourism request and offer (represented by 18 Regions) were carried out. More than encouraging results were obtained by the debut of TTG Lab, the training programme for tourism operators, which saw the participation of over 1,000 registered people, and by the Bus & Turismo area workshop, with 80 buyers interested in meeting the 100 bus product sellers present at the exhibition during a dedicated encounter. “We are extremely satisfied with the results we achieved – Paolo Audino, managing director at TTG Italia declared.
