TTG FORUM 2009

The major world expert in Nation and City Branding will be taking part in this year's edition of TTG Incontri

Simon Anholt, policy advisor to the governments of many countries in the world –in Europe, his homeland, in the whole of the American continent and in most part of Asia, Africa and Australia – was the first to create in 1996 the term 'nation brand' and to devote his work to the measurement of the various parameters contributing to determine its scope and significance. Through an index purposely created and bearing his name, each year Mr Anholt identifies the strengths and weaknesses of the different countries based on six criteria: tourist activityculturestandard of living of the populationstate of governancemanagement of exportations and of investmentsIn his latest research on 'nation brand' Italy ranked first as for tourist image, second in the field of culture and third as for the standard of living of the population. Such measurements date from October 2008 and, exactly one year later, in conjunction with the publication of the new Nation Brand Index and City Brand Index, Mr Anholt will be present at TTG Incontri in Rimini for a preview presentation of the new ranking of our country during a seminar which will be open to Fair visitors and exhibitors.

A Master Class held by Anholt himself will follow – open only to national and international territory promotion executives - during which the most up to date and efficient techniques for the strategic development of the territory in the short, medium and long term will be illustrated.
A highly prestigious opportunity for professional updating offered by TTG Italia to all those who will renew their trust in the b2b event in Rimini; and a further sign of the strong commitment of TTG Incontri to tourism businesses and professionals, who are now more than ever called to be present in the market equipped with concrete tools that are effective in challenging competitors.
